Was there any unusual circumstances around how you acquired your car?
Es gibt in Deutschland nicht mehr so viele W8’s, daher habe ich zugeschlagen als ich die Chance hatte!
Zum Glück ist er genau so wie ich ihn immer wollte: außen schwarz, innen in sonnenbeige mit Recaro Sitzen und Nappa-Leder.
There aren’t that many W8’s in Germany anymore, so I struck when I had the chance!
Fortunately, it is exactly how I always wanted it: black on the outside, sun beige on the inside with Recaro seats and nappa leather.
Are there any unique mods on your car? Hyper-rare parts, custom made parts…
Der Auspuff ist eine Sonderanfertigung einer lokalen Tuningfirma, das Fahrwerk ist ursprünglich für einen Audi S6 gedacht
The exhaust is custom-made by a local tuning company, the chassis is originally intended for an Audi S6.
Would you consider your car done in its current form? Or do you have a list of “to dos” still left?
Anstehende Aufgaben ist die Aufbereitung im allgemeinen: Der Lackzustand ist noch nicht so, wie ich ihn gerne hätte und die Innenausstattung sollte vielleicht auch mal aufgefrischt werden.
The upcoming tasks are the preparation in general: The paint condition is not yet as I would like it to be and the interior should perhaps be refreshed.
What is the biggest problem you ran into on your build?
Alle B5 Fahrer, ob Audi oder VW wissen was jetzt kommt: Die Mehrlenkerachse raubt einem den ein oder anderen Nerv. Am Ende hat zum Glück trotzdem alles geklappt.
All B5 drivers, whether Audi or VW, know what’s coming: The multi-link axle robs one or the other of a nerve. Fortunately, everything worked out in the end.
If you had to do it again, would you build the same car?
Auf jeden Fall würde ich es wieder so machen. Der W8 ist einer meiner Traumwagen. Hier geht es nicht um Geschwindigkeiten und Motorleistungen. Es ist das Gefühl, dass man beim Fahren seines W8’s hat. Einfach toll!
In any case, I would do it again. The W8 is one of my dream cars. This is not about speeds and engine power. It is the feeling that you have while driving your W8. Just great!
What is your favorite part on your car?
Ganz klar: Motor und Auspuff. Egal ob Vollgas oder Cruisen.. klingt immer gut, macht immer Spaß! (außer beim Tanken)
Clearly: engine and exhaust. No matter if full throttle or cruising … always sounds good, always fun! (except when refueling)

Der Moment, als ich vom TÜV kam und alles eingetragen wurde.
