“If sparks don’t fly, your whip is to high”
Was there any unusual circumstances around how you acquired your car?
I hunted for a manual C30-R for almost 7 months, I was about to give up. Then I messaged a guy that had ghosted me at the beginning of my search, he replied, and I went and got it the next day.
Was there more work on your car than you anticipated? Did you find a bucket of wiring worms, find some secret hidden problems…..
The car is very clean… but it was missing an extremely rare R-Design part that took the Volvo dealership months to get.
Are there any unique mods on your car? Hyper-rare parts, custom made parts…
Nothing is really that rare on the car, besides the car itself.
Would you consider your car done in its current form? Or do you have a list of “to dos” still left?
It will never really be done, it’s only in version one right now.
What is the biggest problem you ran into on your build?
Axles, these Volvos snap axles like no other. Especially when you but it on the floor every day.
If you had to do it again, would you build the same car?
Absolutely I would build the same car, I love the Volvo C30. Such a unique car.
Is there any part/mod on your car you had to do a few times, or installed and then removed?
I’ve replaced the axle four times, it’s alright though because I have a lifetime warranty with oreilies.
What is your favorite part on your car?
My favorite part on my car has to be the exhaust. Fully custom built by a master welder in my area.
I remember washing it right after it got wrapped, I thought to myself “it’s never going to be this clean ever again” I cherished that moment.
