The Ultimate Volvo Spark Plug Gap Chart

After much work, our team has compiled the largest list of Volvo spark plug gaps on the internet, in one easy chart, for quick reference. Not only did we work to bring you the gap of the common engines, or makes and models, but we went all the way and our chart includes part numbers, gap sizes, OEM suppliers and more. Our complete Volvo spark plug gap chart does not include every single model, but we are always expanding this list. Currently it includes model years 1992-2021, with tons more useful information.

What’s Included In Our Volvo Spark Plug Gap Chart

The complete chart is broken into 2 main tabs (excel spreadsheet) as follows:

Tab 1 – Quick Data: This tab shows the breakdown of the most common Volvo engines, that were used across almost all the vehicles they produced. It includes the material used to make the spark plug, the factory specified gap, the OEM brand and part number (in case you want the same thing for cheaper), and the engines those came in.

Tab 2 – Final: This tab includes over 1,100 rows of data. This chart can be sorted by many different headings such as ignition system, coil packs part number, year, model and more! Here you can quickly sort and find out more details about the ignition system of your specific Volvo and cross reference other cool bits of information.

VEA Coils and Plugs Note: Even better, our complete Volvo spark plug gap chart also includes all the details on spark plugs and gaps, coil packs and more for the new Volvo Engine Architecture Engines, found on the “Final” Tab.

As with our M66 transmission swap guide, as well as our T5 ultimate engine rebuild guide, we make master spreadsheets with tons of raw data, part numbers, links, and more. This is to guide the next generation of Volvo gearheads for their projects. So please take a copy, tell your friends and feel free to add on, use or do whatever with the sheet. You can download the full excel spreadsheet by clicking here or the image below (opens in new tab). To view the quick reference gap data, you can simply click that image above to enlarge or save.
